Have you recently started a blog or website! Kudos! It’s been such a wonderful journey for me so far, and I hope you find the same!

One of the things that I, and every blogger, had to think about immediately was how to legally protect myself. I want to tell you why to buy legal pages instead of doing them yourself. It’s a terribly important concept, so read on to find out more.

As a newbie blogger, or even an experienced one, you might think it’s possible to do your own legal pages for your blog. I used to think like this, and when I started marketing my business online in 2012, I could have gotten in HUGE legal trouble.

Long story short, I was contacted by a company who let me know that my mistakes could cost me upwards of $300,000 if I continued and got caught by the companies who owned the copyrights. (I did my own research and talked to some professionals in my field and found out that the company was indeed right.) So rather than learn from the mistakes, I shut everything down and withdrew my online presence.

True story, folks! I could have gotten myself massively in debt because of ignorance and a few copyright mistakes!

It was a harrowing experience for a broke graduate student who had absolutely zero law experience.

Learning from My Mistakes

I learned from my mistakes this time! When I launched my blog, I knew I was going to need to protect myself. I did a lot of searching online and came up empty.

When I found ASelfGuru.com, I knew in my heart it was the right way to go. But I STILL insisted on doing it myself…

I spun my wheels for days sifting through complex and, quite frankly, bad information.

Eventually, I went back over to Amira’s website and purchased the Legal Bundle. It was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

Amira’s the writer and lawyer over at ASelfGuru.com. A self-built business woman, she has done an amazing job and is incredibly renowned for her Legal Bundle. Amira is committed to bringing affordable legal resources to the everyday person who needs help protecting themselves online, which I think is amazing.

She has put together a bundle of Legal Pages that every website or blog needs!

The Legal Bundle came in a word document and each section had instructions at the front for customizing the section to your own specific needs. Super easy and quick to do!

You can purchase these pages separately, but the bundle also comes with extras, like the cookie policy and GDPR, Third Party disclaimer, and more. It was important to me that I have these policies and disclaimers as well, so I went with the bundle.

(It’s also less expensive to do it that way! Save yourself some $$!)

It’s $160 for all three.

Still on the fence?

Here are 5 reasons you want to buy your website’s legal pages instead of doing them yourself:

1. You’re just starting out and have no clue where to start

Save yourself the headache! If you’re just starting out and need advice, you’ve found hands-down the best resource! You can even go out there and look around, I promise you’ll come back to Amira’s Legal Bundle!

If you aren’t a lawyer, you shouldn’t be doing your legal pages on your own. Simple as that. Need more convincing? Read on.

3. The Free Template websites make you confused.

This is exactly what happened to me. I searched far and wide for free templates online and I found a few–I found some general advice and ideas for how to put the pages together. I did hours of research and I was left feeling more confused than when I started. To top it off, I had no idea if I was actually protected.

The thing is that people (especially people who aren’t lawyers) don’t want to get sued by giving away bad advice. And lawyers want you to hire them for their services. So there’s a lack of information about legally protecting yourself online.

This lack of information also means that the information you are getting might not be the best. You might have to pay for the information, but at least you know you’re getting quality legal pages that actually cover you.

4. Your time is money.

In the time that it will take you to research and put together proper legal pages for your site, you could be writing posts, putting up ads, and doing other things that can bring you money. Don’t waste your time researching free stuff like I did!

5. You can’t afford to hire a lawyer.

The professional thing to do whenever you launch a business or start-up is hiring a lawyer. (If you don’t think of your blog as a business, start now!) But come on, hiring a private lawyer will cost you at the minimum $300, but likely MUCH more.

I knew I couldn’t afford to do that.

The next best thing is purchasing a set of pre-built legal pages from a lawyer that I could customize myself.

6. (The #1 Reason…) Why would you want to take a gamble on the law?!

I know what you’re thinking… you’re broke. You can’t afford the $160.

As a stay-at-home-mom and someone whose financial situation has gotten much tighter over the last few months, I get you. I hear your concern.

But if you’re intending to make money online, you can’t afford to NOT have this product.

Spending $160 now is better than having to pay $300,000 later. If you think you can’t afford $160 then you DEFINITELY can’t afford $300K!
