When I was preparing for the birth of my first son in the summer of 2017, we did a birth program similar to Hypnobirthing, called Blissborn. It was where I was first introduced to affirmations.
After a miscarriage, I was intensely anxious about my pregnancy and birth (and the pain involved), and I wanted to do it as “naturally” as possible. Affirmations became a huge part of my life and new mindset.
I didn’t utilize printable birth affirmation cards because at the time, I didn’t even know they existed! But if I had, they would have made my pregnancy a lot easier!

Why should I use Birth Affirmation Cards for a Positive Birth?
Affirmations are an amazing way to put us into the right mindset. We’ve become conditioned through generations of societal pressures telling us that we need to fear birth! Yes, birth can be painful, overwhelming, and make you feel helpless, but it can also be powerful, awe-inspiring, and the most amazing experience of your life!
Affirmation cards help prepare you to memorize your best and most favorite affirmations when you go into labor so that you can remain in a calm state as much as possible. If you’re doing Hypnobirthing, even better! Use those affirmations with self-hypnosis to bring positive energy into your birth experience!

Birth affirmation cards are not designed for one specific use and can be altered to fit your specific focus or need! That’s why picking the right affirmation cards for you is so important!
The 20 Best Printable Birth Affirmation Cards
Because there are SO many available, I had to narrow my criteria to choose the absolute best affirmation cards. Here are the things that I looked at:
- must be in first person (i.e. I am unlimited.)
- must be specifically for pregnancy and/or birth
- must be a printable/download/digital product
All products are between $5 and $15, with an average price of about $12.
It is CHEAPER to purchase printable cards and do it yourself, than to purchase a pre-printed and packaged product.
